Founded in 2018, Polaris3D is a robotics company that develops and supplies \u2018Ere-ON\u2019\u2014a line of serving, delivery, manufacturing, and logistics robots\u2014based on its proprietary AI-driven robot control platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company was awarded the Grand Prize (Chairman\u2019s Award from the Korea Association of Robot Industry) at the IR Innovation Day. Participating in the event were a number of robotics startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polaris3D is expanding globally with its ‘Ereon’ logistics robot, now supplied to seven countries after passing Samsung\u2019s strict safety and environmental standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Polaris 3D recently announced that it has begun supplying logistics robots to seven overseas subsidiaries. The countries receiving exports include Brazil, Vietnam, Hungary, Indonesia, Slovakia, and Turkey. Since supplying \u2018Ereon\u2019 to Samsung Electronics’ manufacturing line at its Gumi plant in November last year, the company has consistently continued additional deliveries to production sites. Polaris3D\u2019s \u2018Ereon\u2019 is the only logistics robot that has passed Samsung Electronics’ environmental and safety standards in Korea.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company also became the first to publicly demonstrate the logistics robot supplied to Samsung Electronics. According to the company, it has developed an industrial logistics robot that integrates real-time monitoring and task allocation to establish a compact logistics automation system. The robot\u2019s driving and task status can be managed through a dedicated control system (NEPLER – Polaris3D AMR Management System).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company has prioritized safety in the development of its logistics robots. To mitigate the risk of battery fires, it has applied lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries to its products. Additionally, to address the issue of excessive vibrations, which have been considered a limitation in existing serving robots, the company has introduced an AI vibration control suspension system that learns and adapts to the floor surface. Polaris3D is also focusing on technological development to mass-produce high-quality service robots. Furthermore, by attaching obstacle-detecting LiDAR sensors to the industrial bumpers, the company has further enhanced safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Polaris3D is the first company in Korea to have successfully mass-produced both service and industrial robots,” said CEO Kwak.
“The company continues to research and develop cutting-edge technologies, including AI, multi-robot systems, and autonomous driving. Thanks to these in-house innovations, we have significantly reduced robot production costs.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polaris3D\u2019s newly developed delivery robot also drew significant attention at RoboWorld. Unlike conventional in-store models, the robot is capable of navigating between floors via elevators \u2014 a standout feature. By installing a dedicated module inside the elevator, the robot communicates directly with the system to access different floors, eliminating the need for physical button interaction. The company is currently conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) trials in hotel environments, including room service applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polaris3D is targeting KRW 6 billion in revenue next year, doubling its projected sales of KRW 3 billion for this year. This marks a 200% increase from last year\u2019s revenue of KRW 1 billion. While service robots currently account for half of the company\u2019s sales, Polaris3D plans to expand its manufacturing and logistics robot segment as it positions itself for a major leap in sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company secured KRW 15 billion in Series B funding this year, bringing its total cumulative investment to over KRW 21 billion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The round was led by Hyundai Venture Investment and Korea Asset Investment Securities, with participation from Smilegate Investment, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Evergreen Investment Partners, JX Partners, Kingo Investment Partners, Hi Investment Partners, and JB Investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
